Game 2
Meco Piledrivers 5 - F 'n' A 8
An over-confident Meco Piledrivers, riding high on a six game win streak, came into their second match of the new session a little too confident. The results were a very predictable loss to an impressive F 'n' A. However, the game was not without drama as the Piledrivers made the match very intersting with some excellent play from the old stand-bys as well as an exciting opening match for the newest Piledriver.
The early parts of the game seemed to take the Meco by surprise as they fell behind early, 3-0. However, the Piledrivers showed their grit after this and began to claw their way back into the match. Meco continued to trade two wins for one until the had the match 4-4. At this point things started to get shaky.
TPFKAT (The Playa formerly known as Token) went down with a back injury. This left only six Piledrivers for the rest of the match. Even with new member Toxic Waste figuring out theintricacies, it was not enough. Meco simply ran out of steam.
Rage, the Wolf and Waste were all quite impressive with their arms. However, the kis with the white hat from F 'n' A caught everything thrown his way.
THe most disappointing point of the evening came in the last game. With the score 5-7 there was time for two more matches. Meco had to win both to force an overtime match. It was not meant to be. After the lost the penultimate game, there was time for one more match. As five Piledrivers took the floor to play out the game, Free Agent's frustration boiled over... with no chance for the victory he did not take the floor.
Next match sees Meco facing DJ Builders.
1 win, 1 loss; 12 points
